Restoration of Voting Rights Deadline for Convicted Felons

The Louisville Branch NAACP is reminding everyone who is not registered to vote and intends to vote in the 2008 November General Election, you must be registered by October 6.  For convicted felons, it takes a minimum of two months to process the paperwork to get their voting rights restored.  Therefore, all convicted felons who hope to vote in November must have their completed application back to the NAACP as soon as possible during July in order to meet the October 6 deadline for voter registration.

This will be the most historical election during our lifetime.  The NAACP urges every eligible citizen to register and vote.  For information on restoration of voting rights for convicted felons and voter registration call the NAACP at 776-7608 that’s 776-7608.

Let’s all make history and register and vote!
